A free, ordered introduction to retail forex and CFD trading for readers in South Africa. It explains mechanics — orders, costs, leverage, position size — and it does not recommend trades, forecast prices, or offer a strategy to follow.
Where the figures come from
Worked examples use round numbers near a reference price on USD/ZAR, chosen so the arithmetic is easy to follow by hand. Charts in the lessons are schematic diagrams drawn to show a mechanism; they are not price feeds and are labelled as schematics.
What we check before publishing
Three things: that anything said about a regulator matches that regulator's own register, that every worked example recomputes correctly, and that no lesson promises a result. Pages carry the date they were last reviewed.
Who writes it
The lessons are written and reviewed by Candlemark Editorial Desk. Responsibility for the content sits with that team as an organisation.
The course guide
Naledi is an illustrated guide drawn in the page: a character who introduces sections and flags common mistakes. She is not a person, not an author, and not an expert — she is a drawing, and she is labelled as the course guide wherever she appears.
Corrections
If a figure or a claim on any page is wrong, it gets corrected and the review date changes with it.
